sustainability
Sustainable growing for tomorrow
Sustainability and responsible business practices are central to everything we do. We are committed to minimizing our environmental impact while producing the highest quality radishes. This means not only environmentally friendly cultivation but also investing in strong partnerships, engaging with the community, and caring for our employees.
soil
Good soil quality is essential
Radish cultivation is soil-based, and high soil quality is essential for a successful harvest. That is why we aim to keep our soil as healthy as possible. We do this by adding natural fungi and bacteria that protect the plants against diseases and pests. We also enrich the soil with organic matter to promote healthy soil life. In addition, we use track-driven machinery to minimize soil compaction. A healthy soil leads to strong, resilient plants, reducing the need for crop protection products.
energy
Optimizing the use of light and temperature
Radish cultivation is a “cold” crop, which means it requires little additional heating during the winter months. Gas consumption during this period is minimal and primarily used to keep the greenhouse and crops frost-free. Greenhouse cultivation allows sunlight to quickly warm the air, soil, and plants. We also use solar panels to generate sustainable energy.
Water and fertilization
Accurate dosing prevents leaching
Water and fertilizers are supplied through the overhead irrigation system, allowing for very precise dosing. This ensures that there is no leaching of water and fertilizers into the subsoil or surface water.
